We aim to protect the pre-born children of Mississippi through faithful legislative action and stirring up the Body of Christ. Welcome to EPMS!
Right here in the state of Mississippi, abortion is completely legal. Many in our state are either unaware of this, or want to believe otherwise. We are here to speak up for those who cannot speak up for themselves and to establish justice for our little neighbors.
The overturning of Roe vs Wade was a landmark Supreme Court decision that resulted in the closure of the state’s last free standing abortion clinic. due to the existing trigger law already in place in Mississippi, surgical abortion became a criminal act. This was an incredible victory. Unfortunately, we failed to act and continue to protect all children in the womb. Due to the lack of laws that criminalize all abortion, we have continued to murder our little ones through chemical abortions, most of which are self-managed.
Check out the graphic below. The sad reality is that we are actually killing more babies through abortion now than before Roe was overturned.
How could this be, especially in a state that professes so strongly to be pro-life? Our existing laws do not reflect justice, do not protect all children, and do not allow for the prosecution of murderers. Our “pro-life” legislation expressly provides legal impunity for mothers who take the life of their own child. Due to the “second victim” mentality often proliferated in Pro-Life circles, we as a state have declared that the mother is also the victim in an abortion. and cannot be prosecuted.
Our premise is simple:
All human beings are image bearers of God.
Life begins at conception.
All abortion is murder.
Pre-born babies deserve the same legal protections as those outside the womb.
What can we do to fix this? We must labor to educate our state legislators, stir up the Church, and pass the Mississippi Prenatal Equal Protection Act. By God’s grace, we will do this, one legislator at a time, one church at a time, and one prayer at a time.
